Most Indian business owners who invest in Google Ads, SEO, or a website redesign have no idea how many leads they are actually generating - or how many they are losing. They might know they got "a few enquiries this month", but they cannot say whether that was 3% of visitors or 0.3%. That difference represents completely different business outcomes. This calculator makes the numbers concrete. You enter your monthly visitors, your current conversions, and your average lead value - and it instantly shows you your conversion rate, how it compares to industry benchmarks, and critically, what a 1%, 2%, or 3% improvement would mean in rupees per month. For most businesses, the revenue impact of improving from 1% to 3% is between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 1.5 lakh per month depending on average deal size. The calculator also includes an ad spend efficiency section: if you are running Google Ads or Meta Ads, it shows you what your actual cost per lead is (CPL), and how improving your conversion rate would reduce your effective cost per lead without changing your ad budget. Many business owners are shocked to find that a better website would make their existing ad spend 3–4x more efficient.

Step 1: Your Current Traffic

Enter your monthly website visitors. Find this in Google Analytics (Users or Sessions), your hosting dashboard, or Google Search Console. If you do not have analytics installed, use a round estimate based on your Google Ads click volume or ask your agency.

Example: 850 visitors/month from Google Ads + 200 organic = 1,050 total monthly visitors.

Step 2: Your Current Conversions

How many WhatsApp button clicks, contact form submissions, or phone calls does your website generate per month? Check your Google Analytics goals, WhatsApp Business message count, or your own records of inbound enquiries. If you track these separately, total them.

Example: 8 WhatsApp messages + 3 form submissions + 2 direct calls traced to website = 13 conversions/month.

Step 3: Your Conversion Rate

The calculator computes: (Conversions ÷ Visitors) × 100 = Conversion Rate %. In the example above, 13 ÷ 1,050 × 100 = 1.24%. This is your baseline - the number to improve from.

Step 4: Industry Benchmark Comparison

The calculator shows where your rate sits against Indian business averages: below average (under 1.5%), average (1.5–3%), good (3–6%), and high-performing (above 6%). Benchmarks are broken down by business type - clinics, restaurants, professional services, coaching, e-commerce.

Benchmark data: Local service businesses in India average 2–4% when the website is properly optimised. Below 1.5% almost always indicates fixable conversion problems.

Step 5: Revenue Impact Projection

Enter your average lead value (average revenue per enquiry that converts to a client) and your lead-to-client conversion rate. The calculator projects monthly revenue at your current rate, at 2%, at 3%, and at 5% - so you can see the tangible impact of improving the website.

Example: If your average client is worth Rs. 8,000 and 40% of enquiries convert, each additional 10 monthly enquiries = Rs. 32,000/month in new revenue.

Step 6: Ad Spend Efficiency Score

If you run paid ads, enter your monthly ad spend. The calculator shows your current cost per lead (CPL) and what it would be at improved conversion rates. This is often the most eye-opening section - many businesses discover their CPL would drop from Rs. 1,200 to Rs. 400 with a better-converting website.
